Can you imagine thinking that someone you love might actually be better off dead? That's what Ethan Edwards decides during the long years he hunts for his niece, abducted during the raid in which his brother and sister-in-law were killed. The Searchers is often considered as the greatest western of all, with its tough look at obsession, racism, masculinity, family and the basic urge for revenge. The Searchers is sometimes not an easy film to watch, but as a landmark in the history of the western is highly significant.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language, mild violence, emotional distress and prejudice theme.
