Synopsis

Shakespeare's boy-meets-girl-disguised-as-boy comedy has great wit and energy, as well as a clearly understandable presentation of the famous playwright's language. Twins Viola and Sebastian are both washed ashore in a shipwreck, but each thinks the other is dead. Viola dresses as her brother to pass safely through the foreign land, but gets mixed up in a love triangle that becomes even more confusing when her brother turns up.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
