Johhny Mad Dog is a simple, low-budget, but still brilliant film. The realism of the child soldiers is harrowing and extremely baffling sometimes. There was a point when I was genuinely terrified by their aggressive nature. The best thing about this film is the fact that its does not wet down the main, and mostly possibly disturbing details.

You see other films based on real life wars but they have some Hollywood actors, and cheesy honor and loss storylines. Johnny Mad Dog bypasses all those barriers with a nonchalant attitude(If you can persuade your teacher to let you watch the bonus "making of the film" video.).

The only negative criticism that I have is that the humor in the Movie is somewhat dry and unrealistic. Also, the film could have been longer to expand on the story.
