Ingenious, twisty and atmospheric thriller about two Victorian magicians which will have you scratching your head long after the credits...

Another fantastic film that Christopher Nolan has made. He is my favourite director because after watching his films it makes me unlock parts of my mind and visualise incredible things. The main body to this film's success is the screenplay and the vision of magic happening right in front of your eyes. The cinematography also helps this happening. Hugh Jackman is at his all time best in the film playing Robert Angier. Christian Bale is excellent as the working class rival Alfred Borden, and his accent is actually quite convincing. Michael Caine yet again plays a similair role but it's still what the film needs. And also David Bowie, brings out a great peformance for the time he's on the screen. How many more films that Christopher Nolan makes are going to be credited as his best work? I guess we'll have to wait and see...
