We've probably all seen at lest one American film about the pacific theater of the second world war after all history is writen by the victor. But have you ever seen a Japanese film about the war. This film shows just how hard it was to survive in Japan in 1945. After their mother is killed and most of the city the live in including their home is destroyed in a MASSIVE American air raid they go to live with their aunt but leave when they are treated badly and go to live in an abandoned Air raid shelter where they learn that you don't need bombs or bullets to die in a war. This moving film shows what it was like in Japan in the final days of WW2.
