I gave this film five stars because it was a great story set in about 1685. It is about a doctor who is taken to be a slave on an island and gets his own back on King James II who sent him into slavery by becoming a pirate. I really enjoyed this black and white film. My favourite part was when Captain Blood (the doctor) and his crew threw a slave trader they didn't like over the edge of their boat. The action was exciting when Captain Blood fought and played tricks on different ships. My favourite character was Captain Blood because he was exciting, brave and fearless. I definitely recommend it.
