On the face of it, Bridget Jones is a typical chick flick with a story line of how the girl gets the man everyone wants her to get. It does have that quality to it, and the ending is one of typical chick flick genre, but Bridget Jones has something more than that. It has some quick wit, humour and some pure entertainment, in which most people will enjoy. Renee Zellweger does a great job of showing us how to be British, and manages to do this character with grace. I would never go as far to say that I enjoyed this film, but I would say is that it holds some entertainment value, behind the facade of it being a typical chick flick.
