I am immune, I am the last human, I am the last hope, I am legend.

When scientists find a cure for cancer in 2006, people are delighted and over 1000 people get treated. But 3 years later in 2009, the cure has developed into a virus and has turned everyone into vampire, mutant things leaving Robert Neville ( Will Smith) the last human.

Robert is an ex cop, who saw it as his duty to stay in New York city whilst everybody else was evacuating after the virus outbreak , leaving his family behind. 3 years passed and he is left the last human alive, after his comrades have been infected or eaten. He is left alone, with his pet dog Sam. Now he has to find a cure to the virus by experimenting on the infected. But it is not unsafe all the time, because the infected cant survive in the sunlight, so during the day they are restricted to dark buildings and Robert can hunt for food, but at night, the infected can get out so he has to stay locked up in his home. He is left looking for the cure for 3 years, without seeing one human, before something happens that changes the tide in his research.

I loved this film, the acting was great, especially from Will Smith as he does a great job of acting like he is alone and making up imagenery friends to stop himself going mad. The love between him and his dog is so moving that the dog is as big a character as Robert and suspense was so scary but brilliant, that i loved it. This is a brilliant film and i was surprised it didnt win any oscars. Overall this film is awesome 5 stars.
