In my opinion Akeelah And The Bee is a magnificent movie. 11 year old "Akeelah" is a smart and talented girl. Her father died when she was at the age of 6 years old. After her father died she started spelling and it made her feel better. But she skipped a few grades and felt like she was never going to fit in no matter what. All the children at her school bullied her and made her fell so awkward. This was something you wold not want to go through. Akeelah was capable of many things, she was put down by her nick-name braniac. To me this movie is very moving and inspirational. It shows that you have many people around you but you just don't recognize. You should never be put down by any one. Akeelah and her family didn't get along so well. It is so hard to believe her mother didn't care about the talent her daughter had. With all this going on will Akeelah take a stand and win the spelling bee or just give it up and hide in the shell she can never come out of ? You would really like to see the ending of this film. Espicially to those people who are being bullied. Take a stand and don't be afraid. By Luc-Quartus
