Do you want to waste an hour and a half of your life you'll never get back? This movie Spellbound was monotonous. This film is about 249 American children coming together for a competition in a spelling bee. It starts when 8 individual children talk about their lives and how they are preparing for the competition. To help them focus on this life changing event some had the help of their parents and some used self motivation. It had some redeeming moments when the young lad Harry was being funny and making hilarious sounds that caused laughter amongst audience members. I didn't enjoy this movie because I didn't find it very entertaining; it was mostly about spelling I think some of the parents were a little too hard on their children. But as one of the children said " If you work hard enough you will get far in life."
