Pleasantville is about two teenagers who are transported into a 1950s sitcom, and become two of the characters. Throughout the film they have to make choices about what to do - should they make it their own and change the show's canon or keep everything how it was? I really liked the whole idea and plot of the film, and liked how the directors incorporated little '50s sitcom clichés, like the couples sleeping single. The characters' personalities were developed a lot during the events of the film, which I thought was a really nice touch, especially the character of Jennifer. The film had loads and loads of morals, especially towards the end (I'll try to not give anything away ;P). It felt a bit like they were trying to incorporate as many morals as possible in, and most of them didn't really add anything to the plot. I felt it a little annoying, but it didn't spoil the film much! I really liked it, and would recommend it to anyone who likes retro(-ish) films and old-timey culture in general ;3
