This transfixing tale tells of the mighty adventures of Lyra (Dakota Blue Richards), a young orphaned girl with her heart set on a challenge to discover the meaning of the mysterious particle of dust.

Along with her animal companion (Pan) she embarks on a journey that no child, in fact no mortal animal has ever experienced before. She comes up against the cunning kid-nappers, rescues her friends from mortal danger and even has the rare opportunity of proudly riding a polar bear!

I loved this classic, bone-chilling movie as the mystery slowly unravels itself from the perfectly precise acting. The accents were incredible and I recommend this Chris Weitz production to anyone and everyone. Superb!
