The bling ring is an account of the series of robberies against several Hollywood celebrities. The film shows the escapades of the teenagers as they live the glamorous life of criminals taking everything they desire and living the modern American dream. Faison drugs and parties. The way they present the characters shows them to be more than the faceless criminals the media present them as. It gives them real personality and empathy towards people society classes as wrong, it (as a teenager myself) lets us feel part of the fantasy they aspire to. The film does a great job, through great cinematography, of showing the teenager’s problems and obsessions that drove them to the extreme acts that they get away with. The film also questions America’s obsession with celebrity , making you feel a little bit ashamed for the people you aspire to
