Whisky Galore Whisky Galore is one of the timeless classics that everyone will love as it is set in the Second World War and it is about whiskey but ,Yes there always has to be a “but”. They run out of whiskey, what else could be worse. The film is set in the little island of Todday, but one day they find that a ship containing 50,000 cases of whiskey, yes you read this right 50,000 not 50 not 500 not 5,000 but 50,000 cases, the islanders decide to go to the ship and take the whiskey. The director of the movie is Alexander Mackendrick and the cast is Basil Radford, Catherine Lacey, Joan Greenwood, James Robertson Justice, Gordon Jackson, overall I would give the movie 5 out of 5 stars.
