Shakespeare is relocated to modern Manhattan - but the play keeps its original dialogue, in this adaptation starring Ethan Hawke.

The story was originally written by William Shakespeare. It is the year 2000, Hamlet's father has just died, his uncle has taken over the family company, the Denmark corporation and has married Hamlet's mother. There were some variations in acting with some great acting and some less than mediochre performances. Despite this there were some brilliant moments in the movie. William Shakespeares classic has been successfully translated to modern time in my view.
