Boule & Bill is an interesting yet confusing film. Full of animal love and love between animals (even in usual cases and situations) Boule is a young boy that longs for a dog but ,unfortunately, has a strict father that refuses. However, by a stroke of luck, they stumble upon an animal refuge where the young boy falls in love with Bill a loveable yet unlikely friend and his father has no choice but to let him keep it. Despite the clever and interesting start the story turns ridiculous and cheesy as they befriend a tortoise and a love affair occurs. The story tries to add a romantic tone, but the romantic story line fades behind the boring middle and end. Overall, my opinion on this film is that it tries to hard to be funny therefore the romantic tone gets hidden and makes the film boring. It includes swearing even though its rated age 7+ which makes it unsuitable for anyone under the age of 12. I would not recommend this film as its quite easy to lose interest whilst watching.
