Thought-provoking and visually impressive sci-fi thriller about a world in which mass genetic engineering leads to inequality.

Gattaca - is a not-too-distant future sci-fi film. About a person who wanted to go to space and in order to do this illegally changes his identity. While I was watching the film I sometimes struggled to follow the storyline as film was bringing new information non-stop with no real explanation. Also I found “style” of the film very strange. All people it is look almost the same, police officers for instance are not even wearing uniforms and look just as others, everything is controlled even as far as our own bodies, no freedom. It is kind of a grey mass of people throughout the whole film. Apart from the main characters that were quite living ones but it is not getting too far. I understand it is future and stuff, but is it our future? Overall found this film interesting one to watch despite some illogical storyline moments and as I think strange interpretation of future.
