From the beginning I was mesmerised with this timeless film.Dorothy, a farm girl and her dog Toto are whisked away by a horrific tornado into a land of pure imagination full of adventure...

Dorothy's journey in the land of Oz takes her through enchanted forest, yellow brick roads and creepy castles! During her journey she is helped by three very special characters - the scarecrow, the tin-man and the lion. No matter what happens, Dorothy and her companions stick together throughout, and to me this is true friendship. They all appreciate each other and use their different qualities to work as a team to solve problems.

The film starts in black and white and then changes to colour! Don't adjust your telly and you're not dreaming, it is the characteristic of this classic film.

I do have a couple of negative points however. The film proved a bit slow at times and the green skinned Wicked Witch of the West and her band of creepy flying monkeys are a little too scary!

This is a fairy tale full of joys and terror, and a chance for the whole family to have a good sing-along!
