21 Grams (2003)

Depressing, but still engrossing story concerning three individuals desperate to find happiness despite facing bleak situations. A college professor Paul Rivers and his wife Mary find their union precariously balanced between life and death. He is mortally ill and awaiting a heart transparent, while she hopes to become pregnant. With having a slim chance of receiving a new heart, Paul's life is turned around completely. To which the three individuals are bought closer to one another and happiness is achieved. All because of Paul.
