Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang
This is a very simple film, easy to understand and based on a fairy-tale storyline. It is fit for ages 7+ as there are quite a few jokes that will be hard for little children to understand. This film isn’t really for my liking as I don’t really like movies that something amazing happens and it ends up as a dream or story. It’s a real disappointment. Also, another thing that I don’t really like is that you can see that some scenes are on a green screen. The effects are not that good although the dancing and acting is great.
However, one character in this story – Jemima (the little girl) - really spoke to me. She is a lively and curious person who always wants to help just like me and is very passionate about her thoughts and opinions. This is very similar to my personality. She is very clever and gets away with the occasional naughty things she does with her brother Jeromy.
Chitty, chitty, Bang, Bang is like Marmite - a film that may or may not speak to you personally. As I said before I’m not passionate about this movie and because of this, I give is a two star rating. I hope this review helped you make the decision of watching this film or not.
