Whiplash starring Miles Teller as 'Andrew Neyman', a 19-year old whose big dreams of becoming a great drummer lead him to attend school, which is considered one of the best music schools in the U.S. He is introduced tone of the top instructors; Terence Fletcher (J.K. Simmons). Andrew soon realises that Terence is a little nastier than he seems. He struggles to reach his exceptionally high standards which results in mental an physical abuse. I gave this film 4/5 because the acting is great and it builds up emotion towards each character; I felt sympathetic towards Andrew and when it came to Terence I was full of hate. It is quite a tense movie, you wonder what's going to happen to Andrew if he makes one little mistake.
