[Sorry but there are spoiler ahead.] This has to be one of my favorite films that I have ever seen. Gladiator is a visual stunning film and has great acting throughout. However, the best part is the protagonist, Maximus Decimus Meridius and he is "commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." The character has such strong morality and a honorable nature that it impacted me so much when he died but he was happy because he entered Elysium and was met by his young son and his wife. They also make you hate hate hate the antagonist Commodus who murdered his father just because his father chose Maximus to be emperor and not him. I was extremely overjoyed when he was defeated by his own secret weapon. I think the impact and the story too, really made me love this film. "Strength and honor."
