Shutter Island - 2010 Martin Scorsese-thriller In 1954 two marshals Edward " Teddy" Daniels and his new partner "Chuck"get on a boat to go to an island for the criminally insane. they are investigating a missing patient Rachel Solando who was taken in for drowning her 3 children. Rachel vanished into thin air and its their job to find out what happened.i found this ok, there were some very tense bits but it also had some very predictable. Teddy (Leonardo DiCaprio) has some flash backs. with this happening this makes the movie very confusing. The camera angles make this very dramatic in what it is with all of this it makes it very suspenseful. i would say this movie would be for people over the age of 14 and above. this has little jump scares in it which makes it great with this being a thriller/mystery it keeps the watcher intrigued .i think the lighting in this movie is very low key dull this makes the film seem very realistic. If you are into the creepy yet mysterious stuff you will love this film.My favorite part is when Teddy meets his worst nightmare. the lighting in this scene is just a match stick with a small glow, with this it makes it very very tense and left me on the edge of my seat. i would probably watch this movie again.
