Mustang is a truly insightful film with interesting and eye opening concepts. Although this is not based on a true story, the director states 'the situation is real', making this film all the more interesting to watch. With very little or a very broad knowledge on the situation in Turkey and arranged marriages for young girls, this film is still an incredible watch. Paired with fantastic young actors that would fool anyone into thinking they are real sisters in the situation, perfect camerawork that draws you right into the centre of the action and dialogue entirely in Turkish, it's hard to remember that it is a work of fiction and not a true story. How the young girls react to the situations they are put in is equally as striking and shows just how desperate they are to escape the lives they lead. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants an eye opening watch that will stay with them for a long time afterwards.
