MPATHG: A suprisingly funny movie

Monty Python and The Holy Grail is a movie that I didn’t expect, but I loved it anyway!

It’s about King Arthur and a couple of knights that he picks up along the way in a quest to find the Holy Grail.

If the sentence above about the story seems pretty basic, then thats because it is, the story SUCKS. Like, why are they searching for the Grail? What does it mean to them. The story doesn’t answer the why and the what, but for this movie it isn’t much of a big deal. The story is just a placeholder for the comedy.

Which first off it is really really good. I watched the beginning of the movie aka act 1 with my cousin and we laughed so much that we almost had a heart attack on a certain scene. What the scene is I’m not telling you because, you know review rules. And remember when I said in my Gremlins review that 19s movies seem outdated? Well this movies uses the bad look of its time to its advantage and really really well.

All in all, Monty Python and The Holy Grail is something i didnt expect, but I loved it anyway.

P.S. The age rating for this movie is confusing. On intofilm it says 15 but in Netflix its a 12. Just though you should know.
