Sherlock Holmes is a decent action movie but a bad detective movie due to the fact that most good detective movies/shows show the main character's thought process allowing the audience to solve the mystery with the characters. But Sherlock Holmes completely avoids this by revelling the evidence in a big monologue at the end and barely mentioning the evidence while it's on screen.

other than that it's great. 8/10 would recommend
