It's a Wes Anderson film.

What else can I say? I think it's just generally expected for a Wes Anderson film to be good, but if we're talking specifics, here's why I enjoyed the film. The lavish set design, especially the hotel itself, is gorgeous. Each shot in this film is framed so interestingly and you can tell that thought went into every one. And of course, the humour. I had a steady average of two-laughs-per-minute while watching this film. I think what I like most about the Grand Budapest Hotel is that, similar to Edgar Wright's work, it shows that a film doesn't have to be boring and pretentious to be considered high-brow. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good time.
