A step down from the original Aladdin, yet still surprisingly good.

To start with, is the main plot itself. A common Street Rat, Aladdin(played by Mena Massoud) is asked by a strange man to retrieve a "magic lamp" and is surprised by the turn of events.

I personally preferred the original version of this movie, as it seemed more exciting, had more memorable songs(not more songs in general), and didn't seem to drag on as long as the live action remake. I will admit, I believe all of the actors were picked in a more careful way than the first, and didn't try to make the film only about Aladdin and Jasmine but also about Aladdjn and Jafar. The music in this film intrigued me, as something seemed slightly different(obviously the voice actors and tunes of the music itself) yet still made me smile as I listened. However, I did only give this 3 stars because at some moments it seemed to not pull me in as much as the original. To he quiet honest though, my opinion may or may not be biased, as I used to love the cartoon Aladdin.

To finish off, obviously it WILL look better as it is a live action, recreated movie, but j believed the film's looks made me want to continue watching it, as it 2as rather beautiful in a way.
