The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists

5 stars

01 Aug 2020

On Wednesday 29th of July 2020 I writing a film review about the film The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists that was made by same people that made Wallace & Gromit the curse of the were-rabbit. The company that made both films was Aardman Animations. The film was about A Pirate Captain who sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London where Queen Victoria lives they think she is kind to Pirates but instead they find out that she really hates pirates until she see Polly which is a dodo not a parrot and she would like it for her dinner so she tricks Pirate Captain by giving him loads of money for his bird friend. will he do it for the award or will he run away as a great hero/ Pirate Captain with his great crew/friends. you must watch this film to find out what will happen. There was some famous actors and actress and they were Hugh Grant who played The Pirate Captain and he is also been in Love Actually, Notting Hill and he is in both Bridget Jones's Diary films. Martin Freeman who played The Pirate with a Scarf or Pirate number two was his other name the films that he has been in are Black Panther, he is in all three Hobbit films, Nativity and he is also in Love Actually. Imelda Staunton who played Queen Victoria the films that she is in are both Maleficent films, she played Aunt Lucy in both Paddington films, she played Mrs Santa in Arthur Christmas and finally she played Dolores Umbridge in the two of the Harry Potter films and the last famous actor in the film is David Tennant who played Charles Darwin and he has been in How to Train your Dragon: The Hidden World, Mary Queen of Scots, Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger!, St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold and finally he is most famous for playing one of the Doctors in the TV series Doctor Who. Overall I thought I would not like this film because it was made out of modelling clay just like the Wallace & Gromit film was but I found out that I really loved both films so that is why I gave this film a five star rating.
