Live action Tom and Jerry

5 stars

30 Dec 2020

The film MouseHunt is a hilarious live- action about two brothers who inherit their late father's string factory and abandoned house. They have very different plans but they all involve making money. But will these plans succeed if a very clever mouse in residence has anything to do with it?

This film reminds me of the cartoon show Tom and Jerry and Laurel and Hardy because of all the slapstick comedy.

The orchestral music helps to portray mood and movement. The music plays a big role as it can be heard in the background throughout the majority of the film.

The mouse in the film is a main character and gets up to a lot of mischief. Did you know that they used 60 well trained mice, with some CGI and animatronics for close ups? The 60 mice were trained in everything from running and climbing to sleeping in a sardine tin under some tissue.

The message of MouseHunt is not to be greedy because it will only make you miserable. I recommend this film to anyone who likes slapstick comedy, Tom and Jerry or Laurel and Hardy.
