Dunkirk-An Amazing Film

4 stars

22 Feb 2021

For context, Dunkirk is a story based film of the events of the World War in the events of allied troops are trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk-love the inspiration and you can 100% see the dedication from the producers. For a quick summary I would say it is an amazing film but I have a nag about it..

Starting of with the negatives. There were not many but they impacted the viewing experience of the film.Firstly, I feel there was not enough context with the film making me really confused on what is happening on the screen making some parts of the film boring. But that was resolved with me researching the events-but that does not mean I am completely knowing of this film. Also, my biggest nag is that I feel something is missing right from the start.Even though we are thrown into action very quickly which make the events slow and boring-the exact thing the producers wanted to NOT happen.Even though these are two negatives they (as I said) impacted the viewing experience..

Due to these negatives, I have awarded this four stars but without these I would of award five

On the polar side, there are so many positives about this film.Firstly, I love the inspiration to use real-life events showing our respect for those who given up their lives.Secondly, the effects of this film are amazing they gave a life-like feel as if you were right in the middle of it.Following on, another positive is the action scenes-the gun fights/scenes are amazing.Thirdly, the scenery is astonishing showing the hard work of the film-makers.Amazing!

Personally, I would say the genre loving this would be action watchers because it is amazing with its scenes and explosions and effects

All of these shaped this amazing film.I would love to see more films from the producers about real-life events.
