This is a great film about three scientists that believe in the paranormal. Peter Vankman, Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler hear about a ghost at the local library in New York and go to investigate. They find the ghost and it turns out to be a nice quiet librarian or so they think. When Ray makes an unwanted noise in the library and the old librarian transforms into a hideous creature. The Ghostbusters run out of the library engulfed with fear. They return to the university they work in to find the staff removing boxes of their equipment from their own lab. This forces them to leave and start their own business, this is when the fun really starts.

I think this is a great start to a film, it's funny and exciting the characters are well developed. Vankman is cool, Ray is funny and Egon is the brains. Other characters that come into the story are: a crazy receptionist, another member of the team called Winston and Dana Barret the first customer of the ghostbusters who Vankman falls madly in love with.

I would recommend this film to anyone whom likes action, comedy and suspense with well developed characters with amazing dialogue. The director of this film is Ivan Reitman, a.k.a Egon Spengler.

I really like this film because it is funny, full of drama and suspense. It is extremely exciting, I would definitely watch this again before the newest film (Ghostbusters Afterlife) which focuses on Egon's Grandchildren.
