Masterpiece of a movie

5 stars

03 Oct 2021

Now this film is great, at the beginning Arthur has some aspects of the joker but he isn’t much like the joker for the beginning. He is humiliated a lot and whenever he is happy it always gets ruined until he is the joker then nobody can stop him. To get do his apartment he needs to get up a massive set of stairs but when he is the joker he dances down them. There is a scene on subway when he is being chased by two cops and clown riots have already started so he is trying to blend in.

Something I noticed was that when he is the miserable and depressed Arthur Fleck everything is grey and dark, but when he is joker everything is lit up and more lively which tells us he is happier and feels more alive.

In the scene when he is on Murray’s show he admits all the bad things he has done. In the scene he talks about how the rich doesn’t care about people that are more poor than him, then notices that Murray is everything Arthur.the reason why Arthur becomes the joker is because he has nothing to lose and just wants to be happy. His idea wasn’t to start an army of rioting clowns but near the end he begins to embrace the power he now has.

Now the shots in this film are amazing along with the lighting

I give this film 5 stars
