5 out 5 fun family film, Fully Loaded!

5 stars

15 Oct 2021

This movie is a live action romantic, entertaining, fun film about a girl and a car and rivalry, and a lot like the older film, The Love Bug.

This film is about Maggie, a teenager who just finished High School; whose dad takes her to get a car. Of course she chooses Herbie, an alive old racing car who, according to the title of the first movie, is very romantic.

There is a lot of rivalry against a famous rally-racing champion, Trip Murphy, who wants to buy the car back from Maggie, since Herbie (who I assume is a 'he') seems extremely fast, since he beat Trip in a heartbeat!

Also, Maggie's dad wants her NOT to race. Or even try, or practise too. But she does. And she's going to try everything she can to sneak up to the road. Though, like I said, her dad does not want her to race. I wonder why that's so? I guess you'll have to watch it to find out.

In the old film, there was a lot of cultural-stereotyping, which means over-exaggerating what is heard about people, like take British people for example. (just so you know, I'm British too!) You know, your typical British guy with the top hat, pocket watch, cup of tea, umbrella, in a place where it rains all the time. Well, that's not really true, and it can be offensive to people sometimes. It was in the old film, like I said, regarding Chinese people; So eventually they decided to not put it in movies anymore. I agree with this.

I loved this film since the first one was all about the men, but this time, the main character was a girl. And also I loved it because of the humour and fun, since I wouldn’t call this a comedy film, though it is still entertaining and fun to watch. I could enjoy the film more without the stereotypical things, so I agree this film was a lot better than the first one.

There is at least one dislike about this movie. The main character kept screaming when something “unexpected” had happened to her. (It wasn’t that unexpected, since you expect those things to happen, since that’s how films roll.) This doesn’t change anything about how the film is, but it is really annoying. But, I’m sure, if I was in the same situation, I would probably scream a lot too. *chuckle.*

I would recommend this amazing film to absolutely pretty much everybody. This is suitable for kids of all ages, and there is no harm. I would also recommend it to people who like cars, and car films.

Out of the two, I would choose this film. Since the old one was just men talking and racing, and a sprinkle of humour, but this film has a lot more action to it.

This film is 5 out of 5 stars. It’s a great movie and I loved every bit of it.
