Spider-Man 2

5 stars

11 Mar 2022

On Thursday the 12th of March 2022 I watched the sequel to the franchise where Tobey Maguire is still playing the hero and the photographer Peter Parker but he is finding it very hard to live a double life and with a new villain in town called Doctor Otto Octavius better known as Doctor octopus it is bad timing to lose his powers and the big question is this can he get them back before New York gets taken by a big sun and save the one he loves which is Mary Jane Watson who has been taken by Doctor Octopus. The film is about Peter Parker is an unhappy man: after two years of fighting crime as Spider-Man, his life has begun to fall apart. The girl he loves is engaged to someone else, his grades are slipping, he cannot keep any of his jobs, and on top of it, the newspaper Daily Bugle is attacking him viciously, claiming that Spider-Man is a criminal. He reaches the breaking point and gives up the crime fighter's life, once and for all. But after a failed fusion experiment, eccentric and obsessive scientist Dr. Otto Octavius is transformed into super villain Doctor Octopus or Doc Ock for short, having four long tentacles as extra hands. Peter guesses it might just be time for Spider-Man to return, but would he act upon it or will the world be with no hero to save it and will the Daily Bugle win by making people stop believing in Spider-Man. This review has been given a five star rating which means I loved it because I thought this one had more action and drama than the first one because after two years Peter got more better at being the hero of New York but he also had a lot of trouble on his hands like his best friend Harry who is trying to find out who Spider-Man is. Now my next film review will be not until The Amazing Spider-Man where we have a new actor playing the part his name is Andrew Garfield because film club does not have Spider-Man 3 where Tobey Maguire is playing Spider-Man for the last time and where he is dealing with three new villains and they are called Sandman, Venom and his best friend Harry Osborn who has become the new Goblin. So That is the end of my film review about Spider-Man 2.
