Talk to her (2002), directed by Pablo Almodovar, follows along two men who create an odd friendship whilst looking after two women who are in comas.
Unlike his over work, such as ‘all about my mother’, this film is not as nearly as engaging. The first third of the film is quite fast paced so the part of the story in that section just doesn’t carry any weight to it at all. The rest if the film just become engaging but at points its feels uncomfortable watching and takes you out of the story, which is a good story outside of all the awkwardness.
However, like the rest of his films, the story takes you down a spiralling path with twists and turns that show Almodovars passion for storytelling, and even though the narrative isn’t as engaging as his other work, the story is engaging and had potential if, presented better to be a way better film.
Overall, I think other films of Almodovar are way more worth the watch than this but if you want to get a full view on Almodovars work Id include this into your watchlist.
