Best musical ever!

La La Land is the best musical of its time! The movie is about two aspiring artists where one wants to be an actress and the other a jazz singer. They both want to make it big in Hollywood while also falling for each other. When determined actress Mia (Emma Stone) meets a broke jazz singer Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), they both try to help each other achieve their goals. The chemistry between both Gosling and Stone is so strong and the way they portray their love for each other without telling each other that they like each other is just phenomenal. Both Mia and Seb try to help each other achieve their life long dreams and they will do whatever to make sure they both end up happy. During the film, they both hit some obstacles which puts their relationship on hold and their careers on a different path. Overall, La La Land is just so hypnotic and this film really is destined to be a classic.

The best films ever made are probably: The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Italian Job or even Pulp Fiction but there is just one film that stands out: La La Land! This film takes inspiration from other musicals such as 'Singing in the Rain' and 'Hairspray'. If you like La La Land then you would definitely want to watch 'West Side Story' and 'Chicago'. The main message of the film is 'to pursue your dreams no matter the obstacles in your way'. This message links clearly into the film as both Stone and Gosling try to pursue their dreams and they both hit a few problems.

I really love this film. It is one of my favourite musicals and the music in La La Land is absolutely amazing. The film made me think about jazz music and how it has changed over the years and that it isn't as popular as other types of music.

On the whole, I would definitely recommend La La Land to everyone, even if you don't like musicals because you never know, you might enjoy it!
