THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW

5 stars

23 Mar 2023

When the place he is working gets closed due to bankruptcy, P.T Barnum is forced to find a new way of making a living. Seeing an opportunity to do something new, he charges through all his hardships headfirst with his family in pursuit. Before he knows it, P.T Barnum is singing and dancing on a stage with a carefully picked group of unique people in what used to be a museum for wax figures but now was as circus and life was going great. Where did it all go wrong?

What I like about this film is the way it shows you that all should be equal, and nobody should feel any less average than anyone else but what I do not like in the film is how he places all the people in a ring and calls it a circus. I feel that it is unfair that he should view them as animals even though they are the ones who helped put the show together.

I will probably remember all of this film because of all the motivation and because the songs are so catchy! It also makes me think of what I could do differently to what I am doing at the moment.

I would compare this film to Annie (the old one) because the time zone is similar and it's a musical. Here are some fun facts about the film

1) Zendaya did all her ow trapeze stunts

2) There was actually a real Barnum and Bailey circus which ran for 146 years

3) Jenny Lind (the singer) was a real person

4) A lot of the costumes worn by the circus acts were actually worn by the Barnum and Bailey circus.

5) THE Hugh Jackman played P.T Barnum

This film may have gotten bad reviews from many critics but in the end was proven to be an amazing film and received many awards by the choice of the people.

I liked how the movie was based on a real-life circus and would recommend it to ages 7+ because some people might not understand what was going on throughout the entire film.
