FILM REVIEW
Film title: Looper (2012)
Introduction: Looper is a futuristic film that sets out to involve time travel mixed with crime to make the movie more thrilling. People might be interested as there are not too many sci fi films which involve crime and time travel mixed together which makes it very intriguing.
Snappy Synopsis: In the film, there are a few good twists which are very exciting once you realize what's happening. The main part of the film involves time travelling and crime but the crime is different to what you see in other films. The main part of what it's about is that assassins kill people who are sent to travel back in time. Each person they kill gets a silver bar as a reward. There is a very big twist when the audience realizes that one of the children holds powers that are unexpected. The main character makes a hard decision near the end to stop something that is about to happen.
The good, the bad and the ugly: In the film, I really enjoyed the storyline because it was out of the ordinary and interesting. The setting is futuristic but quite dystopian which is interesting and different as futuristic films are usually set differently as futuristic films are usually set with different advanced technology. The film reminds me of mint ice cream as mint ice cream in my opinion is unique and different. A thing that I didn't enjoy about the movie was the ending. The reason I didn't enjoy the ending was because I felt it was very rushed and I feel it could've ended a lot better. Another thing I feel could have been improved in the movie is the CGI. In my opinion the CGI could’ve had a lot more time to work on to make the movie even better. The camera angles in the movie were good and the movements were even better. They included the best angles at the best times to help the person watching understand what is going on. The script was good as it was quite futuristic and it represented the future as in the past we don’t know what the world will be like in the future.
Paragraph 3 - Evaluation
Overall, my honest opinion about the movie is that it was pretty enjoyable and also very thoughtful and unique which is a good thing because not many like it. What I liked about the film was that the setting was very interesting and cool. Instead of it being all futuristic, it felt quite dystopian which really set the mood to the movie. During the movie it was quite confusing to understand until the storyline started to build and it became easier to understand. It wasn’t the best movie I've ever seen but overall I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in this type of theme. It's very different to other movies, hard to understand but every time it gets easier to understand and you know what is happening
