The Absent-Minded Professor

4 stars

25 Nov 2023

On Tuesday the 21st of November 2023 we continued are Disney Challenge though the years with another film in the year of 1961. The film is called The Absent-Minded Professor who is a bumbling professor and his name is Ned Brainard who works as a Science teacher at a College and is really obsessed with his experiments which make him always forget other things like his weddings to his girlfriend whose name is Betsy. Because of his latest experiment that blows up He misses the latest wedding which was the third time in a row. The reason why he missed his wedding is because he discovers a substance that defies gravity, which he calls a flying rubber this gives him the thought of calling the substance flubber. He then places it in a Model T which is a old car which allows it to fly. He than upsets a big banker by causing his son to miss a big basketball game. Where the team is losing the game this makes the professor put flubber in their sneakers which allows the players to make high leaps which allows them to win the game. After the game Hawk sees Brainard flying in his car so then he tries asking him for the secret so he can make a fortune from it. But Brainard decides to give it to the government instead. So this makes Hawk decide to switch the car. Which now means Brainard has to try to get it back from Hawk will he succeed in his quest. You have to find out for yourself on what happens to the Professor will he achieve his goal and get his girl back or will he have to live on his own with his experiments and his dog whose name is Charlie or will he live happily ever after. This film review has been given a four star rating which means I liked it but not loved it because the film was made in black and white and the special affects were cheesy for a Disney film. Next Friday will be the first of December which means it is the start of are Christmas challenge. I hope you all get to read my 24 reviews and I also hope you enjoy the journey of new and old films that I have not seen or wrote a film review for yet. So you will hear from me next week.
