Welcome Film Club members to another set of heroes known as the DC comic heroes and are first hero is none other than Superman who was played by Christopher Reeve who sadly is not with us no more because of a heart failure Nine years after he had a horse accident which made him paralyzed from the neck down. He played the character four times until Brandon Routh took over for Superman Returns than for the Man of Steel film Henry Cavill played him but for the TV series Tyler Hoechlin plays the character of Superman and Clark Kent. Now lets get back to writing the review for Superman which we watched last Friday which was the 14th of June 2024. The film was made in 1978 so the flying scenes where not that great but if you love reading the DC comics than you love these films. So the film Superman is about a scientist whose name is Jor-El who has no choice but to send his only son Kal-El to Earth as their home Krypton will destroy itself. When he gets to Earth he is found by a farm couple who raise him as their own. During his childhood Kal-El finds out that he is not a normal being but in fact he has great powers which he uses under Earth's yellow sun for truth and justice. After he becomes a adult he moves to a city called Metropolis where he becomes a reporter for the Daily Planet as Clark Kent but in secret he is Superman and helps to stop a man called Lex Luthor who thinks he is the world's greatest mind criminal. Can Superman stop him or will Lex win by killing him with a powerful weapon. This review has been given a four star rating which means I liked it but not loved it because my two favourite actors who play the character are Tyler Hoechlin who plays him in the series and for the films it has to be Henry Cavill who plays him in the man of steel, Batman VS Superman and Justice League. The other reason why this review has only got four and not five stars is because the graphics where not that great as the film was made back in 1978 but it was still good to watch again. Thank you for reading my review on Superman I hope you enjoy reading my film reviews please stay tuned for another film review soon.
