Synopsis

Starting from the very beginning of the strange story of Peter Parker, we learn how a clumsy and shy high-school student accidentally acquires the ability to climb and sense danger like a spider - and witness his early awkward attempts to put his new abilities to use fighting crime (and to impress a girl). This is a superhero drama that concentrates on the confusion and burdens that come with strange powers - although there are plenty of spectacular fight scenes and two great performances from stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst too.
