‘Princess Mononoke’ is an anime film that explores the clash between nature and humanity. It carries a strong political message, particularly relating to environmentalism and climate change. The central conflict revolves around tradition versus modernity, which could be a compelling reason to watch it. The film highlights the struggle between humans and nature, emphasizing the challenge of coexistence without exploitation. Ultimately, it suggests a balance where the forest can be left in peace.

The movie’s setting features many mythical creatures and a richly detailed world. However, with so much happening in the background, it can be a bit overwhelming at times. Despite this, it remains an excellent film, especially for those new to anime and looking for a great place to start.
