Into Film: Into Space – watch the shortlisted films

We're delighted to announce the shortlisted films for the Into Film: Into Space competition. The eight winning short films will be watched in outer space by European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake, during his current mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Below are all the films shortlisted to make the trip into space and their expert panel of judges, who will be choosing the final two from each age category.

5-11 age category Judges:

  • Nicky Cox (Editor, First News)
  • Nina Nannar (News Correspondent, ITV News)
  • Lisa Prime (Producer, Children's Events Programmer BAFTA)

12-15 age category Judges:

  • Robin Ince (Broadcaster)
  • Libby Jackson (Astronaut Flight Education Programme Manager, UK Space Agency)
  • Alok Jha (Science Correspondent, ITV) / Magda Wood (Head of Digital Content, TES)

16-19 age category Judges:

  • Dr Kevin Fong (Broadcaster and co-director of the Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme environment medicine) 
  • Lorraine Heggessey (Chair Grierson Trust & Advisor C4 Growth Fund, previously Controller of BBC1) 
  • Col Needham (Founder, IMDb)
