With the upcoming 10 February release of the hilarious The LEGO® Batman Movie, we're running a great new drawing competition in which you can win fantastic prizes for your club or class.

Building on the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble - LEGO® Batman - now stars in his own big-screen adventure, and to celebrate, we've developed a brand new LEGO® Batman Builders Resource.

This cross-curricular, KS2-3/Second, Third and Fourth Level resource enables your pupils to discover their inner hero. Breaking Batman down into "hero components", the resource is closely linked to the English, PSHE and Design and Technology curricula, and will take pupils through building their own inner hero, drawing on their abilities, values, identity and ideas for their adventures.

To enter the competition, we're asking students to draw their own hero symbol, just like Batman's, and accompany it with a description of their own heroic persona, detailing their special abilities and hero values. There are two age categories - 7-11 and 12-14 - and the closing date for entries is 24 February 2017. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and effort.

  • First Prize: A private screening of The LEGO® Batman Movie for your class at a local cinema.
  • Second Prize: A fantastic tablet
  • Three Runner-Up Prizes: Official The LEGO® Batman Movie merchandise goody bags.
