'The Aeronauts' at the 63rd BFI London Film Festival

Felicity Jones and Into Film Ambassador Eddie Redmayne play the lead roles in The Aeronauts, the true story about a scientist and a pilot who set out on an adventurous expedition in a hot air balloon with the aim of flying higher than anyone else in history.

Our reporter Eleanor attended the Mayor of London's gala film premiere and spoke to the two actors about how they take stock of their achievements, shooting in a hot air balloon and the value of study vs. experience.

The Aeronauts tells the story of ambitious scientist James Glaisher and pilot Amelia Wren who set off on a balloon expedition in the hopes of flying higher than anyone else in history. The perilous journey forces them to rely on each other for their sake of their survival and helps them learn more about themselves, each other and their place in the world.

The Aeronauts is released in the UK on Monday 4 November.
