A baby elephant named Dumbo, whose oversized ears make him a laughing stock to the rest of the circus that he performs in, discovers that his ears enable him to fly. Before long, the peculiar animal becomes the star of the show, helping to save the struggling circus. Soon enough, however, the dark side of show-business begins to reveal itself. This new interpretation of the beloved Disney story, from the imagination of director Tim Burton, is a soaring tale of tolerance, friendship and believing in your abilities.

New to Order on DVD

Creed II

Leading the DVD releases this week is boxing drama Creed II, the sequel to 2015's wildly successful Rocky spin-off. Set three years after the first film, Adonis Creed now holds the World Heavyweight Championship title, but must juggle his newfound success with his family life as he begins to settle down with his girlfriend. When one of his father's old adversaries shows up with a fresh challenge for Apollo, Creed must decide whether pursuing his dreams should come at the cost of his new family. Alongside epic boxing scenes, this is also a compelling exploration of defiance, family and mental health.

Also new to order this week

Also new on DVD this week is Japanese family drama Shoplifters, winner of the prestigious Palme d'or award at Cannes in 2018. Following the tribulations of a family living on the margins of poverty in a Tokyo suburb, this intimate and beautiful exploration of the family unit deals with moral questions around crime alongside the experiences of those on low incomes, complicating the notion of what is right and wrong.
