After an eye-opening experience filming a colony of seals on the shores of Great Britain, filmmaker Ed Sayers decides to bring nature into focus through a unique form of experimental storytelling. As well as asking a myriad of people in all corners of the world to film and narrate their personal relationships with the natural world, Sayers shirks traditional, modern, heavy filming equipment in favour of Super 8 cameras, an older, lighter, more intimate method of capturing the world on film. Through a network of 40 contributors across 25 countries including local enthusiasts, indigenous communities, and world-renowned environmental photographers, this visually stunning documentary aims to open our eyes to the importance of nature in our daily lives whilst tackling complex subjects such as biodiversity, climate anxiety and endangerment through a personal, emotional lens.
