In the first ever Jamaican feature film, Jimmy Cliff stars as a country boy who arrives in Kingston with dreams of making it as a singer. He gets to record a few tracks in a studio, but it isn't until he becomes a wanted man, thanks to his involvement with local drug dealers, that he becomes a star. A thrilling film thanks in part to Cliff's charisma, with one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
This film has a few uses of strong bad language, and contains moderate bloody violence, soft drug use and moderate nudity.
