"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!" cries Julius Caesar in one of the best outings in the classic British film comedy series. It was released just after the massive budget Hollywood epic Cleopatra, and cheekily showed how the same story (sort of) could be told for a fraction of the cost and with better jokes. They even get in a British angle, in the shape of two slaves who manage to cause a lot of trouble for the most powerful people in the world.
This pastiche of horror movies pokes fun at the likes of Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde and features all the well-known Carry On stars.
